The III International Meeting of Doctorates and Postdoctorates: Art in Prehistoric Societies (ASP 2013) constitutes the legacy of the two previous scientific meetings. The first edition of these meetings was held in 2008 at the Recherche et d'étude de l'Art Préhistorique (CREAP) centre at l'Université de Toulouse-II Le Mirail/C.N.R.S., where the first seeds of the project were sown. Some years later, in 2011, the second meeting was held, and was in this instance organized by The University of Zaragoza, who were able to consolidate, maintain and transmit the ‘ASP spirit.’

On this occasion, from the Fundación de Servicios Cueva de Nerja y el Área de Prehistoria of The University of Cordoba, we intend to continue these scientific events, centring on the research of artistic manifestations that prehistoric societies have handed down to us and as a road into historical knowledge.

The III International Meeting of Doctorates and Postdoctorates: Art in Prehistoric Societies (ASP 2013) will take place in Nérja (Málaga, Spain) between the 5th and 8th December 2013, with the main venue being the recently opened Museo de Nerja.
