MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE MASTER

The Master in environmental hydraulics seeks the advance and multidisciplinary education/training of professionals within the scope of Environmental Hydraulics in the different specializations:

Integral management of Ports and Coast -Venue UGR
Integral management of watersheds -Venue UCO
Aero-hydrodynamics of vehicles -Venue UMA
Management of aquatic ecosystems -Venue UGR

The specialization in Integral management of watersheds coordinated by the University of Córdoba, seeks to deepen our knowledge about hydrological processes in the terrestrial and fluvial environments, and the management and conservation of water and soil resources aiming at the integral management of watersheds

The aims of the rest of the specializations are:

Integral management of Ports and Coast (CEAMA-UGR)

To better understand the knowledge of the marine environment and coastal processes, their use and management with a special emphasis on the integral management of ports and coast and their mutual interactions.

Aero-hydrodinamics of vehicles (UMA)

To analyze and control the aerodynamics of terrestrial and aerial vehicles, as well as the hydrodynamics of submarine vehicles and to apply this knowledge in the design and improvement of automated and crewed shipping for environmental control.

Management of aquatic ecosystems (CEAMA-UGR)

To analyze and evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively the state and ecological potential of natural and artificial aquatic ecosystems (lakes, rivers, wetlands, reservoirs, estuaries, lagoons, marine and others)

TEACHING SYSTEM

b

The Master consists of 60 credits that the student must complete in two four-month periods as exclusively on-site education.

The first four-month period will be completed by every student at the University of Granada. The main aim is to provide the basic knowledge and fundamentals of Environmental Hydraulics Engineering. Courses take place in the CEAMA-UGR since early October till mid February.

The second four-month period will be completed at each partner University according to the specialization chosen by the student. The main aim is to provide the development of personal abilities and in-depth knowledge. Concerning the University of Córdoba, the courses of the specialization in Integral management of watersheds take place in the Rabanales Campus from early March till the end of June.

MAIN TARGET

Engineers and students who obtained a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Sciences approved by the Spanish system of education and related graduated students from international universities recognized by the University of Granada, Málaga and Córdoba.

The selection process will be based on the grades obtained while pursuing the academic degree and the different courses related to the Master included in the European Supplement to the Title. Besides personal interviews when suggested by the Academic Board, knowledge in English, programming skills and earned grants for the achievement of the degree will be assessed.
