RESEARCH

Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Agroforestry.
Experimental systems for study: forest species (Quercus, Pinus), model species (Arabidopsis thaliana), crops (legumes, sunflower), vegetable species (date palm), yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), fungal pathogens (Botrytis cinerea), fruit trees (Prunus persica var. nectarine).

Biological processes: development (maturation and germination of seeds) and response to abiotic stresses (drought) and biotic (fungal pathogens). Biodiversity.

Translational research: substancial equivalence in transgenic crops, food traceability, allergens, post harvest, postharvest.
Methodological approaches: Proteomics (differential expression proteomics, postraductional modifications, redox proteome, phosphoproteome). Transcriptomics. DNA molecular markers. Microscopy. NIRS. Biochemistry and Plant Physiology, classical approaches (purification and characterization of proteins and secondary metabolites).
