This week we say goodbye to two members of Cyanotrans:

Jesús Díez has been leading our team for more than 30 years, and retires now. It has been a true privilege to learn from him, to work with him, and to share many hours together. We think he can be very proud of his work these decades. Now is time for him to enjoy other aspects of life!

José Ángel Moreno-Cabezuelo did his PhD and also a post-doc with us. He will start working in the biotechnological industry next week. It has been a pleasure to work these years with José Ángel, and we wish him all the best for future endeavours!

We just learned that Tina Domínguez-Martín was awarded a Ramón y Cajal grant.

Besides, we finished the academic year 2022/23 with great news for the team:

First, Tina Domínguez-Martín has just been promoted to the position of assistant professor.

Second, both Tina Domínguez-Martín and Mari Muñoz-Marín have been awarded their first national grants as PI to work on marine cyanobacteria.

Third, Guadalupe Gómez-Baena and her team joined an European project to work on the Iberian lynx.

Congratulations to all of them!
