Our former PhD student Nouman Almofti succesfully defended his thesis on Friday 20th September 2023. Congrats Dr. Almofti! The thesis title was «Toxicological analysis of pharmaceutical and illicit drugs in drug-facilitated sexual assault by LC-MS/MS using supramolecular biosolvents» and was supervised by professors Eloy Girela López and Soledad Rubio Bravo.

Our director, Soledad Rubio, gave a talk on «Supramolecular Biosolvents for the sustainable production of formulations enriched in lycopene from tomato waste» as a guest of the «Quality, Production, Packaging and Sustainability Working Group of the Food for Life-Spain Technology Platform (PTF4LS) held in Madrid last Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

SAC team participated in Innovaforum (Madrid, September 2023) presenting LYCOSUPRAS, sustainable lycopene-rich extracts.

María Jesús Dueñas-Mas defended her PhD on 5th July 2023. The members of the thesis committee were full professors Adrian Covaci (University of Antwerp), Juan Vicente Sancho (University Jaume I) and Feliciano Priego Capote (University of Córdoba). Supervisors from the University of Córdoba were prof. Soledad Rubio and Ana Ballesteros

Dr. Noelia Caballero gives an oral presentation at the XXXIX Biennial Meeting of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry celebrated in Zaragoza (Spain) on 25-29th June 2023.

Our senior researcher Dr. Noelia Caballero Casero attends the High Education Teaching Conference on Analytical Chemistry organized by the Spanish Society of Analytical Chemistry (SEQA) in Valladolid, Spain (19th and 20th June 2023) to present an innovative education project.

SAC  group obtained the Trébol level 3 (an environmental recognition of the University of Córdoba). Our PhD student Celia Sánchez Vallejo received the award in a ceremony that the University of Córdoba organized on 5th June and that was dedicated to the environment.
