  About me

María Sol González Bermúdez was born in Córdoba (Spain) in 1994. She studied Chemistry at University of Córdoba (UCO, Spain) from 2012 to 2016.

After finishing her degree, she has studied a master “Máster en Ciencias Forenses” in the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM, Spain), specializing in the area of Criminology and Toxicology (2017-2019).

She has studied a double master “Máster Universitario en Profesorado de Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria, Bachillerato, Formación Profesional y Enseñanza de Idiomas” and “Máster Interuniversitario en Química Aplicada por la Universidad de Córdoba, Universidad de Huelva, Universidad de Jaén y Universidad de Málaga” from 2019 to 2021, when she joined the FQM-215 group at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, UCO (2020).

Her Master Thesis was focused on the use of natural wax-coated paper for environmental remediation. Currently, she continues working in the research of new applications of wax, focusing on the extraction of contaminants from wastewaters at the FQM-215 research group, where she has started her doctoral thesis.
