Natividad Jurado Campos was born in Aguilar de la Frontera (Córdoba) in 1991. She studied Chemistry at University of Córdoba (2009-2014) and she obtained extraordinary prize. In 2012, she joined our group as a collaborator student with an official research scholarship from University of Córdoba named “Beca de Iniciación a la Investigación” to develop an analytical method to assign a category to an olive oil. During this time, she used analytical techniques as Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and ion mobility spectrometry (IMS).
In 2015, she finished her master´s degree in “Máster Universitario en Química por la Universidad de Almería, Universidad de Cádiz, Universidad de Córdoba, Universidad de Huelva, Universidad de Jaén y la Universidad de Málaga” with a scholarship from Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport named “beca de colaboración” at University of Córdoba.
Nowadays, she has a FPU Scholarship from Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport whose objective is the training of university teachers. Her research is focused on studying the basic of IMS and its application in the agro-food sector (olive oil, ham, plants samples, etc). Furthemore, she is working with supercritical fluid extraction (SFE)/supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) device for coupling with IMS.
She has participated in the co-direction of one end-of-degree project.
She had also a contract to the project ” Identificación de tecnología instrumental que complemente el método analítico comunitario denominado “Panel de cata” en los aceites de oliva vírgenes. Fase III” in the 2015/2016 academic year at University of Córdoba. This project was developed to transfer our results to food companies.
For the diffusion of the science, she has contributed participating in different events of the University of Córdoba like: paseo por la ciencia , european researchers’ night , café con ciencia, etc.
