Isabel Jiménez Sáez

Isabel Jiménez Sáez is a postgraduate student at the University of Córdoba, where she is currently about to finish an MA in Advanced English Studies and Bilingual Education. She completed a double degree in English Studies + Translation and Interpreting, for which she obtained the first position in the national ranking of English philology created by the Spanish Society of Academic Excellence (SEDEA), and an MA in Secondary Education Teaching, for which the University of Cordoba awarded her the Extraordinary End of Master's Degree prize. During her studies, she has undertaken mobility stays at prestigious foreign universities, such as King’s College London and Utrecht University. In addition, she has collaborated in the Research Project “Researching conceptual metonymy in selected areas of grammar, discourse and sign language with the aid of the University of Córdoba Metonymy Database", whose Principal Investigator is Professor Antonio Barcelona Sánchez, thanks to two collaboration scholarships. She has participated in several national and international conferences, including the Cordoba International Metonymy Symposium, the 6th Doctoral Seminar on Philology and Translation and the 6th and 7th scientific congresses for young researchers, held at the University of Córdoba. Her main areas of research are cognitive linguistics and construction grammar.
