Eva Lucía Jiménez Navarro

Eva Lucía Jiménez-Navarro (PhD) is an assistant professor at the Department of English and German of the Universidad de Córdoba (Spain). She defended her doctoral thesis Treatment and representation of verb collocations in the specialized language of adventure tourism in December 2020, with a distinction “cum laude” and international mention. It covered her main research lines, namely: corpus linguistics, phraseology, terminology, specialized languages, lexicography and cognitive semantics. She has been a visiting lecturer in the United Kingdom, Poland, France and Kyrgyzstan, and an invited researcher in the University of Lodz (Poland). Over the past decade, she has participated in numerous national and international conferences and her publications have focused on the use of a corpus-based/-driven methodology for the analysis of terminology and phraseology in the specialized discourse. She is an active member of academic organizations, research and teaching groups, and a member of the Editorial Board of Bibliography of Metaphor and Metonymy (MetBib) of the prestigious publishing house John Benjamins. She has also participated in the organization of several international conferences (11th International Conference SCOLA in 2018, Cordoba International Metonymy Symposium and 2nd International Conference TRADITUR in 2022).
