Profile

Jesús Blanco Hidalga teaches English at the University of Córdoba and IES Maestro Eloy Vaquero, where he is the head of the department of English. In 2015 he obtained his PhD at the University of Córdoba, where he has been a lecturer since 2017.

American fiction. Modern and contemporary narrative in English. Literary and critical theory. Political thought. English language teaching.

Current Projects

Jesús Blanco Hidalga is currently studying the formal and ideological implications of the concept of secrecy in contemporary American fiction within the research project “Democracy, Secret and Dissidence in Contemporary literature in English” (PID2019-104526GB-I00), of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
