The main actions of the Game and Fish Research Center are:
- Perform, promote and coordinate research in the field of game management and fisheries in Andalucia, designed to encourage the development of hunting and fishing in inland waters in harmony with nature conservation.
- Organize activities for the training of human resources in scientific knowledge, game and fish methodology and management techniques.
- Carry out projects and studies in which, eventually, and under the conditions stipulated, may be required by participating agencies or entities, public or private, within its competence.
- Advice to individuals or institutions, public or private, in their actions related to activities in the field of game management and fisheries, when these were required.
- Contribute to the spreading of scientific knowledge related to game and fisheries management and conservation through outreach activities such as conferences, exhibitions, publications, etc.
- Outreach of the results generated by the research and achievements in the field of management of game and fish populations, their habitats, and management procedures consistent with the conservation of biodiversity. Serve as nucleus for the promotion, coordination and management of the implementation of a research center specialized in game and fish management in Andalucia.
