Travel to Córdoba
The easiest and fastest option to get to the city of Córdoba is by train. Since 1992, Córdoba has a new railway station. Being a mandatory stop on the Madrid (Atocha) – Seville (Santa Justa) route, high-speed trains arrive daily to the city several times.
Thus, from Madrid you get to Córdoba in less than two hours and from Seville you need about 40 minutes. In addition, since the end of 2007 there has been a high-speed train connection with Málaga, allowing it to reach Cordoba from the Costa del Sol in just 50 minutes.
- Sevilla (Santa Justa) – Cordoba: 40 minutes
- Malaga – Cordoba: 50 minutes
- Madrid – Cordoba: 1 hour and 40 minutes
- Valencia – Cordoba: 3 hours
- Barcelona – Cordoba: 4 hours and 35 minutes
The monumental city of Córdoba has an airport that is located about eight kilometers from the city center. At this moment, the commercial air activity of Córdoba airport is very limited.
However, from the international airports of Madrid, Jerez de la Frontera and Granada you can arrive by train in about two hours to the city, and from the airports of Malaga and Seville in just one hour.
The connections between the different Spanish cities are very good and notably cheaper than for example by train. Line buses depart daily from Madrid, Seville, Malaga and Granada, as well as from other cities in Andalusia and Spain.
The bus station is located next to the train station, which facilitates the transit of passengers traveling by public transport.
Córdoba is located directly on the South motorway (A-4) that connects Madrid with Cádiz and thus allows you to reach the Andalusian capital, Seville. From there, using the V Centenario motorway (A-49), you can easily reach Huelva and the Algarve (Portugal).
Since its total opening at the end of 2009, the Malaga motorway (A-45) allows to get from the capital of Cordoba to Malaga and the Costa del Sol in less than two hours.
The national highway (N-432) that connects Badajoz and Granada allows you to easily reach other autonomous communities such as, for example, the south of Extremadura and even another country such as Portugal, as well as the Costa Tropical and Almeria.
