PhD Civil Engineer Researcher
University of Cordoba. Área de Ingeniería Hidráulica.
Biography
María José Pérez-Palazón received a Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Córdoba (Spain) in December 2010. In 2013 she held a Master in Environmental Hydraulic: Integrated Watershed Management from University of Córdoba, Granada and Malaga (Spain). Since September 2014 she joined in the Fluvial Dynamics and Hydrology Research Group at Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research where she is presently working toward the Ph.D. degree. Her main research topic is the analysis of trends in water and energy flows in the snowpack, its dynamics and modelling in Mediterranean environments. Other research interests are: the use of global models in order to analysed climate change and its impacts in semiarid mountainous areas; snow hydrology, dynamics and modelling, in Mediterranean Mountains; and the incorporation of observation, in situ or remote, to the modelling by using different assimilation techniques.
