Furthermore, students of the Degrees in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Social Education, Sociology, etc. are also welcome, as they can take advantage of the spreading of knowledge and the previous experience of other specialists.

Call for papers

The International Conference ‘Education and Development Cooperation’ invites submitted invited symposia and papers. Submissions are refereed and selected on the basis of quality and relevance.

  1. Oral presentation: The researchers will present the results of their projects (15 minutes) related to the different sections of the Conference. The Scientific Committee of the Conference has reached an agreement with the Editorial Board of the International Journal for 21st Century Education. According to this agreement, the Scientific Committee of the Conference will choose the 12 best proposal; these 12 abstracts will be analysed by the Editorial Board of the Journal, which will choose a maximum of 10 proposals for their publication (double-blind review). This agreement will allow the publication of up to a maximum of 8 papers, which will be published in the volume corresponding to the second semester of 2015. We also have to highlight that all accepted papers will be published in a book published after the International Conference.

  2. Written presentation (poster): The posters will be shown for two hours in a specific place, so the authors can explain their projects to all those interested in their research. These posters will be organised by the Scientific Committee according to their specialization. The dimensions of the posters are 90x120 cm (vertical orientation). The two best posters, according to their methodology and presentation of results, will be awarded with a certificate; later, they will be published in the official website of the International Conference ‘Education and Development Cooperation’.

  3. Written presentation (virtual presentation): The researchers will present the results of their projects virtually. This possibility is similar to oral presentations, and it will be also certified. The Organising Committee includes this possibility to facilitate the participations of all those researchers who may have justified problems to come the Conference. This should be notified at the moment of the registration.

  4. Invited symposia: Symposia are allocated a 90-minute slot and consist of a set of linked papers on a common theme. This allows the presentation of 4 to 6 oral presentations on the same topic followed by a debate. It is necessary that the symposia coordinator submits a general abstract with the list of the different participants, while all the participants need to submit an individual abstract of their communications.

The attendance to the Conference without presentation is also welcome, and will be also certified.

Currently, the International Conference ‘Education and Development Cooperation’ has confirmed the participation of the Gender Chair (Cátedra de Estudios de la Mujer Leonor de Guzmán) of the University of Córdoba, the Intercultural Chair (Cátedra «Córdoba, Ciudad de Encuentro Intercultural») of the University of Córdoba, and the ‘Aula de Debate’ of the University of Córdoba.
