Research Interests

His research activities have focused mainly on:

  • Policy analysis, mainly the impact of CAP reforms on Mediterranean agricultural sectors using multicriteria techniques and multivariate statistical modelling
  • Environmental valuation, related to externalities analysis and landscape assessment
  • Resource economics, focusing on agricultural water economics

He has coordinated 2 European Projects (FP6: ISSCRI2 and FP7: CLAIM) and 6 National Projects. His current research activity is framed within two National Proyects: FARMPERFORM (The green transition of agriculture: a microeconomic analysis to support policy decision-making, 2023-2027) and PAGOSER (Payments for Ecosystem Services based on Results: analysis of innovative designs in agro-environmental and climate policy).
